Water BodiesUpcoming

This research stages intersubjectivity among human and planetary water bodies as a means of modeling democratic climate action. Using writing, improvisation and co-devising choreographic strategies, the dancers invite the audience to consider their interconnected place as/among bodies of water.

We Are Time and Again

To develop We Are Time and Again, I was interested in physicalizing geological timescales while living and performing in human bodies. Deploying pedagogical activities such as a somatic body scan (using what I called a Glacier Body Score), written prompts, improvisation-based choreographic tasks, and opportunities for individual and group reflection, the dancers and I articulated internal experiences while relating to more-than-human externalities (glacial or otherwise).

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Choreography for Sondheim and Wheeler’s dark musical masterpiece, working with director Tug Watson at UNCG. The production ran October 3–5, 2025 in the UNCG Auditorium, featuring intricate staging that supported the complex narrative.

The choreography required careful integration with the musical’s dramatic arc, creating movement that enhanced the storytelling while maintaining the production’s dark, atmospheric tone.

Touch Grass

A trio running seven and a half minutes, exploring the dichotomy between hectic daily life and the disconnection from nature that often accompanies it. Presented in the Fall Graduate Choreography Showcase at Coleman Theatre in October 2025 and projection featuring landscape photography (also by Ashlyn Hall), the piece investigates how our pace/breath/focus modulates when we remember to connect to nature and, ultimately, each other.
